Encouraging Communication and Reflection through Math Modeling

Description

In this session, we will discuss the role of writing assignments and class discussion in helping high school students develop as mathematicians and math modelers. Along with giving examples of modeling problems, we will share strategies for framing discussions and providing feedback that will help students hone communication and reasoning skills.
