Tape Diagrams in Middle School Algebra
Description
Tape diagrams are used in elementary school to model problems involving arithmetic operations with whole numbers. In this workshop, we will examine how tape diagrams can be used in middle school to introduce students to variables and support the algebraic solution of word problems and equations.
