Eliminating Deficit Views of Mathematics Learning

Description

A social justice priority in math education is to openly challenge the practices that perpetuate static views about children and their mathematics competencies.  To eliminate the deficit discourse, we need to focus on learning rather than labels and on recognizing and sharing students' strengths. Actions to eliminate deficit views will be shared.
