Using Formative Assessment to Understand and Support Young Children's Spatial Reasoning

Description

This session will focus on how specific formative assessment tasks can help teachers understand young children's spatial reasoning development, and help them support children's learning during spatial activities in the classroom. We will address two areas of spatial reasoning: shapes and shape parts, and spatial relationships and transformations.
