Finding Missing Pieces: Eliciting Student Discourse about Place Value on a 100's Chart

Description

This session will highlight ways in which a first-grade teacher engaged in the elicitation of discourse centered around children's knowledge of place value and its representation on a hundreds chart. Ways in which this discourse was used as a formative assessment, and how subsequent lessons from these interactions will be shared.
