Supporting Teachers to Create Mathematical Modeling Tasks for Young Students
Description
Participants will collaboratively engage in the transformation of low-level problems to mathematical modeling (MM) tasks. This transformation begins with a discussion about MM in the elementary school, moves toward a framework to support the creation of MM tasks, continues with the enactment of these tasks, and ends with group reflection.
