Using Number Talks to Inform Instructional Decisions
Description
Number Talks engage students in creative and open mathematics with the goal to develop solid conceptual foundations that increase mathematical fluency. We describe how to use Number Talks to elicit and make sense of students' thinking about number concepts in order to assess students' progress towards mathematical learning goals.
