Connecting Statistics to the Algebra Classroom

Description

Linear equations and their graphs are some of the most basic tools in algebra. Using these algebraic concepts, participants will explore the similarities and differences in the statistical and mathematical views of linear equations. Using linear equations, we will model and make predictions about how many candies can be grabbed from a bowl.
