Improving College Readiness through a Mathematical Modeling-Based Course for Seniors

While many students are not yet ready for college-level math after junior year, they often opt to take no math class senior year. This session introduces a twelfth-grade course that uses mathematical modeling to engage and challenge students. Participants will engage in a task and experience teaching strategies used to support this course.
