Making “More” Sense of Comparison Story Problems
Description
Comparison problems, which involve comparing two quantities and lack an explicit joining or separating action, can be confusing, often leaving students to rely on keywords to solve them. In this session, we will review addition and subtraction cognitively guided instruction (CGI) problem types, paying particular attention to comparison problems.
