Promoting Equity and Access: Using Children's Literature to Provide Meaningful Contexts

Description

This workshop identifies the necessity for equity and access, connects literature to the essential mathematics standards, and provides sample activities. Highlighting multicultural main characters, characters with exceptionalities, and female protagonists provides students the rich opportunity to connect with both the context and the mathematics.
