Kindling Student Engagement Around Fractions: A High School Number Talk

Description

In this session we examine my teaching decisions during a high school Number Talk. I had two main goals: to elicit student thinking and to kindle student interaction. We'll stop the video at critical points in the lesson and discuss what we might do next - and why. Then we'll watch how the lesson unfolds and consider the implications for teaching.
