How can educators go from silence, to understanding, to actions, to students being able to "read the world" using mathematics? Step 1 is acknowledgment of unfairness and connection to historical events. Step 2 is personal reflection and preparation. Step 3 is the development of lessons where students use mathematical analysis and then plan their next steps.
