Bringing Structure to Counting
Description
Strong conceptual understanding of place value begins well before students build numbers with base-ten blocks. In this session, we will explore how different models and manipulatives can develop student thinking about counting and grouping as they move from a pre-place value understanding of number to formal place value concepts.
