Effective Intervention Practices for Problem Solving: A Focus on Structures and Algebraic Reasoning
Description
All children, including children with learning difficulties, must demonstrate mathematical knowledge through problem solving. We developed a problem-solving intervention for third-grade children that emphasized a focus on problem structures and algebraic reasoning. Children in the intervention demonstrated significant gains on problem solving.
