Broadening What Counts as Knowing and Doing Mathematics: Centering Children's Thinking through CGI

Description

In this session we will explore children's mathematical thinking as a way to expand what counts as knowing and doing mathematics in school. Through video and student work, we will engage with research-based frameworks that can support us to listen to and learn from students, to focus on their strengths, and to attend to their partial understandings.
