4 + 9 = 13 + 10: Addressing Misconceptions about the Equal Sign
Description
Algebraic thinking is an essential concept, yet many K-2 resources neglect it. This workshop will present the most common misconceptions regarding the equal sign and provide specific strategies for addressing them. Activities will be be presented that can be integrated into lessons within the Operations and Algebraic Thinking strand of CCSSM.
