President's Address: Using our Collective Efficacy to Advocate for Mathematics Teaching and Learning
Description
Mathematics educators are part of a larger system of educators who have the potential to transform classrooms, schools, and communities into spaces where each and every student can thrive. When we collaborate with other educators, families, and community members, our collective efficacy can shift practices and policies and transform learning spaces to support mathematics teaching and learning. This session will focus on actions that mathematics educators can take to effect positive changes in policies that affect teaching and learning.
Lead Speaker
Robert Q. Berry, President, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics; University of Virginia School of Education
