Whose Mathematics Is It anyways? (De)Tracking of Teachers & Students

Description

Ever wonder why "some" math classes are rather homogenous? Ever notice how some teachers only teach certain student populations? Evidence of tracking of both students and teachers points to inequities in the system of education. We will provide examples of how we detracked students and teachers in our math department to provide access and equity for ALL.
