Developing Symbol Sense in Early Childhood: Maintaining Meaning and Enhancing Early Number Learning

Description

Understanding symbols and how they relate to quantities is critical to students' mathematical development. Participants will learn effective and playful ways to help students link their intuitive number sense with symbolic number sense and facilitate math discussions around subitizing, unitizing, number relationships, and early algebraic reasoning.
