Former Cardinals reliever and current Cardinals broadcaster Al Hrabosky answered questions from fans and talked about the Cardinals off-season moves and the upcoming season.
Prior to the Cardinals taking the stage, the University of Memphis band along with Pouncer performed in the Plaza of AutoZone Park. It may be winter, but that just means we’re getting closer to Spring Training for baseball.
The Caravans are scheduled to visit 18 total cities throughout Cardinal Nation, including the respective cities of local minor league affiliates Memphis (Tennessee), Springfield (Missouri) and Peoria (Illinois). Several current Cardinals players such as Jon Jay, Marc Rzepczynski, Trevor Rosenthal, Joe Kelly, Pete Kozma and Shelby Miller will take part in the promotional caravans.


Fans will also be able to meet some of their favorite former players as Cardinals Alumni Andy Benes, Cal Eldred, Ryan Franklin, John Mabry, Joe Magrane, Kerry Robinson, Jason Simontacchi and others will accompany the current players.
Louis Cardinals, the Cardinals Caravan will take place between January 15 and January 18, and will include stops in Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee, Arkansas, Indiana and Kentucky. There will be Cardinals Caravan events in Columbia, Jefferson City and Springfield. The first 400 children (15 and under) through the door on the day of the event will receive a free Autograph Ticket which guarantees one autograph from each current and former player. The Cardinals alumnus will be Al Hrabosky, who is currently the color commentator on Cardinals regular season broadcasts on FSN Midwest. Another Cardinals Caravan (with different players) will make appearances in Mattoon, Peoria and Springfield over the weekend on Sunday and Monday. Join us for the chance to talk baseball and meet current players, Cardinals Alumni and broadcasters.

Louis Cardinals Caravan will roll into Evansville at 6pm, Sunday, January 17th.  Meet and greet some of your favorite Cards (as well as Cardinals alumni and broadcasters) at the Physical Activities Center on the campus of USI. Three caravans will depart on January 18 and January 19 while two more will take off January 20 and January 21.
Numerous other veterans and future stars such as Tony Cruz, Shane Robinson, Adron Chambers and others are also participating in the caravans.
Cardinals announcers John Rooney, Dan McLaughlin, Al Hrabosky, Rick Horton and Mike Claiborne will serve as Caravan emcees.

Louis Cardinals Caravan will make its annual stop at AutoZone Park on Saturday, January 14, 2006 with an added bonus. The event capped off the Cellular South Celebration, which included a pep rally for the University of Memphis and free food for all fans present. Catcher Yadier Molina, reliever Randy Flores and second baseman Aaron Miles fielded questions from the crowd before joining Hrabosky to sign autographs for seemingly the entire crowd of 350-400 people.
