Florida State University provides a variety of outstanding scholarship programs to help students pay for their studies.
These types of students can obtain scholarships, provided they meet the specific criteria needed for eligibility. Freshmen enrolling at FSU may be eligible for the University Freshman Scholarship which is an award of $9,600 disbursed over a 4 year period. The nice thing about this scholarship is that all incoming freshmen are automatically considered for it. Another great scholarship to try for is the Tuition Reduction Scholarship which is awarded annually to several non-resident students to assist them with tuition expenses. Students who enter Florida State University with an International Baccalaureate Diploma from a high school in Florida are eligible for this scholarship worth $1500 per year for a four-year period.
Florida State University scholarships are available to students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree program in the college of criminology and criminal justice. The Eugene and Rosalind Czajkoski scholarship is offered to students enrolled in the college of criminology and criminal justice. The Greta Mason scholarship is awarded to deserving nursing students who are academically qualified. The Lettie Pate Whitehead scholarship is offered to undergraduate female nursing students who excel in academics. The Katherine Rogers Wade scholarship offers financial support to eligible undergraduate students. The Katherine Prichard Memorial fund is offered to students who are excellent in academics and display high potential in the field of nursing.
FAMU College of Law has both affordable tuition and many opportunities for financial aid and scholarships.

Tuition for in-state and out-of-state students at FAMU College of Law remains among the lowest in the state of Florida. Applicants to the law school have the option of applying to the full-time day program, the part-time evening program, or both programs at the time of application. Our proximity to the major law firms, area courthouses and governmental offices provides our law students ample chances to showcase their skills and network with members of the local bar. FAMU College of Law professors have poured many resources into me to get me where I am, as Student Bar Association president. Since reopening in 2002, the FAMU College of Law has graduated more than 1,100 lawyers, many of whom have become leaders in the legal, business, educational, and governmental arenas. About FAMU LawThe FAMU College of Law was founded in 1949 on the main campus in Tallahassee. Most Florida State University scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit and the aptitude of the students and some are based on need, as well.
Only one scholarship is awarded per year to eligible students who may be either a resident or a non-resident.
Glass Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate and graduate students on the basis of merit, academic excellence and financial need. Sweat annual student aid is offered to undergraduate and graduate students who have a minimum 3.0 GPA and are in genuine need of financial assistance.
As a first generation Rattler who has also studied at other law schools, I can impartially say our education is just as good as anyone elsea€™s if not better. Our tuition rates a€“ which have remained steady at $14,131.66 for at least three years a€“ offer a remarkable value, even on a national scale.
Complementing our standard curriculum, we offer academic liberties that permit our students to expand their scope of knowledge by exploring the law in other countries and at other law schools.

Those opportunities range from formal settings such as oral arguments, which are judged by alumni and other area attorneys who visit campus on a regular basis, to more casual and chance encounters with prominent attorneys who frequent downtown to conduct legal business or to grab a bite to eat. There have been so many opportunities to meet people, develop professional relationships and friendships. In 2014, the 99 African-American graduates at FAMU College of Law nearly doubled the total number of African-American from all state law schools combined at 55. Recipients of this scholarship will have up to 50% of their tuition paid; this is only applicable to tuition and not other fees or expenses. All new graduate students who have completed graduate applications by January 15 are considered for this program. Descendants of members of the Marianna Kiwanis club or members of the Fisherman’s Sunday school class of the First Baptist School in Florida are awarded priority. Our comprehensive financial aid program includes institutional grants and federal loan programs to help eligible students meet the expenses associated with a legal education. Drawing strength from our multicultural community, the law school embraces its population of students, faculty and staff who vary in age, gender, race, ethnicity, geographic background and collegiate experience. All admitted students are considered automatically for any institutional scholarships and need only submit a separate scholarship application when specifically requested.
