This plugin generates a Permanent 301 Redirect header response while redirecting an internal page to different internal page. It supports up to two depth levels.

This is a search engine friendly alternative to the core {redirect_page} plugin which generates a Temporary 302 Redirect header response. This is also an alternative to the Internal Link content type which will redirect in the menu while the original content remains accessible.

Usage:

{redirect_page_301} with required parameter page=''

Examples:

Redirect http://www.your-domain.com/company to http://www.your-domain.com/team
{redirect_page_301 page='team'}
Redirect a page belonging to a parent, for example http://www.your-domain.com/company to http://www.your-domain.com/about/team - use the parent='' parameter
{redirect_page_301 parent='about' page='team'}

What parameters does it take?

(required) page - The destination's page alias to redirect to.
(optional) parent - If the page is the child of another page, use the parent='' parameter to indicate the page's parent.
