Buh-Bye, 10200

Once upon a time, there was friendly, little building, known only as 10200 N. Newport Hwy. It started its life on the corner of Hawthorne and Highway 2 in the Northpointe Shopping Mall as a real estate office. Time passed. The real estate office relocated, and the building was empty.

Soon, another company came in and made their home there for awhile. This company was making a computer game that would be known as Riven.

The people liked the building. It was much more spacious than the garage they had previously occupied. They filled the building with their sounds of game making. They kept the building company late into the night. They set up a dartboard. Occasionally, the darts would even hit the board instead of the wall. The building even survived the Nerf Wars that would frequently erupt within its walls for no readily apparent reason.

As time passed, the company was getting too large for the little building. It was time for the game makers to move to an even larger building. So the building was empty again.

Soon, the game makers were replaced by a mattress store, and people came to little building hoping to put a little bit of comfort into their world. Time passed again, and the day came that the mattresses all left too. The building was empty once again.

Then, one day, one of those Nerf Warriors drove by, and the little building was gone. In its place was a flat area of dirt.

Buh-bye, 10200. Thanks for the memories.
