The river that runs on the club island is utterly painful to look at, it’s almost funny.

I think if real world physics were at work here. The insane speed of that river would physically propel the entire island into a collision course with the diamond beach mansion!

“Just putting the word Diamond in the name does not make it worth triple the price of most personal spaces. Especially when the diamond is dull and full of flaws.”

Perhaps actually owning the space would provide more satisfaction, but I don’t see spending the cash to find out.

Jin is right — Lockwood does luxury ever so much better. And seeing the re-skinned x7 cocktail waitresses in the Yacht Club was an über-creepy moment for this Seal. So, no thanks, Sony. Nice try but… no.

It has a wonderful layout and you can get a lot for a cheaper price.

They already know that selling overpriced more exclusive stuff works. Using the word limited or exclusive and people will pay more. Giving away rewards aswell there must be some users doing somersaults. You could make a gold plated jewel encrusted dog turd hat make it exclusive and sell for 19.99 and people would buy it lol

I’ve been in and out of this space a few times now, over the course of a couple weeks and on each visit I’ve been hoping for texture improvement; it never came. As you’ve said Burbie, the shore line is a flat, straight line that would be acceptable in a PS2 game, but not what we’re used to (or simply expect) in Home products now.

I’m not sure why you couldn’t, but you can swim in this space around the shore area but it’s just another static, boring experience; nothing seems to shimmer or move under the water either -- it kinda feels like your flying rather than swimming.

I’ve not had the chance to try out the Wake-boarding mini-game that comes with the space either, or if there are more rewards attached to it but I can only assume, going by the overall quality, that it may not be all that good.

As far as exclusivity goes, this is really nothing to want for -- it’s visuals are that of (nearly) two generations ago, where they’ve clearly been sacrificed for functionality and aside from the day/night cycle and the ability to change the tint of the windows, I fail to see why the aesthetics have had to be hit so hard. If Glittering sands can do it…

Personally, I think you’ve gone too easy on this space Burbie; for the asking price, I find this such an oddity I can only assume someone somewhere is using this ugly space with a massive price tag as an experiment to see how important “exclusivity” is to some Home users.

I feel there’s no life to the Space and for $14.99, we get a Waterfall that fails on appeal, Sand that looks painful to walk on than believable, water--you know what? Screw this, the Space is just not great at all.

Good article.
