There are many glorious moments in “Butterfly”, but for most of us, the lynchpin of the opera is this aria, in which Cio-Cio-san dreams of the return of her husband:

I’ve never invested the time to read on Madame Butterfly because I would literally forget to do so. This had always been a priority to me.

Now seeing this as one of your artworks, I have to say this was pretty grim. o.o Almost as grim as the story about the american whom had slept with the chinese woman who was, in fact, a male spy pretending to be female.

That, to me, was just crazy--more especially the overall story and the effects of it all.

But still…

In a condensed form, this was really riveting. Like seriously, just wow! o.o
