I would love a truly interactive cat or dog (realistic). I have purchased numerous cat and dog companions and so called “interactive” pets… it’s quite a weakness. Having one that allowed my avatar to interact with would be a joy.
LOL… it seems, though, that BONZO doesn’t have much experience with indoors-only house cats. They get pretty bored, and humans are their biggest source of entertainment. Mine go pretty nuts when I come back after being away for a few hours! I am beset by meowing, pawing, purring, and jumping all over. A return trip from Costco can make me feel extremely loved (also, I sometimes come bearing cat food, so that doesn’t hurt).

I think they should also do this kind of interactivity with pets we can take outside of our houses. They could create a pet park where we could sit on grass or benches and while away the time with our pets. They could create a whole new genre of cats and dogs that would respond to this park area by giving us the options of walking them, tossing balls, and just generally playing around. If they can create public areas that allow us to roll and shoot and the like, something like this should be possible.
Imagine taking your dog for a walk as you converse with a friend while strolling along a nice path through a wooded area. I think this kind of interactivity would refresh the pet market section of companions and cause people to use them more instead of just locomotion’s as well.
Great ideas Bonzo, I concur wholeheartedly.

The lack of interactivity in Homes pets usually makes me wanna call em something other than “pets” or “companions” since right now (I dont think) they live up to the word. Sayin’ that, getting me to invest my love is like getting blood from a stone so they’d have to do quite a bit to even interest me…
