So I get this. I hope to meet more of my good PSH friends in the future. What I really wish is that they had a convention somewhere where a bunch of people could fly out and meet their friends. It would make so much sense just to get us all in one place to meet -and lots of fun- no E3 press passes just PSH users meeting up with one another to have fun. Would be great to do something in Vegas or somewhere in the middle of the country :)

I have made friends and enemies. I am in a relationship I want to move far into the real world, and I never for a second fail to see the other avatars as real people with real emotions and lives. Like you, I never thought that I would make friends from places as far away as I have. My life was a small circle on a map that was around my home. Now my friends are pins on a large map, and I wouldn’t trade a single one in, even the ones I havent spoken to in a long time as well as ones that have deleted me. This is a HUGE social event wherein we are able to experience so much with out ever playing a game. This is the bare beauty of Home, and I love how you embraced it and expressed it. Well written. Great article.

You are so right in your assesment of some people in Home. In fact I see my own words in your article. Like our relationship, I’m your mom..lol and I love being that close to you. We are a good example of what avatars are truely like on Home, or at least some of us. A lot of people there do not think of avi’s as real that they are just cartoon characters, but so many of us are here to prove that wrong. Burbie is dead on with her statement also. You and I and a few friends we each have do get on camera an chat and meet each other and there is still no judgement which is great. I love my close friends I have made on Home and will always be there for them.
Your article proves a good point on true friendships in Home.

I agree with everything you said here, I too have some very close friends in Home, people I look forward to speaking with every day when I go in. Some are closer than others of course, but I consider them my friends, not just gaming buddies. Some of us do game together, but most don’t and that is okay, because though Sony intended this as a place for gamers to meet, they have something totally different than what their original intent was.
I have also found that relationships that start in Home can be more intense and real than ones started face to face in the “real” world. That is because you get to really know the person before you go to the next level, and the physical attraction stays out of the way because you can choose to connect first before even exchanging pictures.
Congrats on the wedding, I wish you both the best.

But ive always remembered at the other end of that theres a real person
