So we got the fast, easy and obvious. I’m surprised Hellfire did anything at all, with the release of Home Tycoon. But, I was too expecting something more in the line of jet pack.
As Krazy pointed out, the new hat syndrome had been (is?) the base on PsHome economy. Let see whats comming next.

Dissolving into a shower of bats! Clouds of ominous smoke!
Moving from one end of a room to the other in a flash of lightining! Lighting that effects the entire area you were just standing in. Ummhmm! ;)

So, I heartily agree that Hellfire should have stayed with the space genre that they do so well. Jet packs, metallic motorized wings, heck, even space suits would have been a better look for this style in my opinion.

The nDreams wings have a much smoother, more natural looking animation and pose while moving. But that’s just my opinion.

The new hat thing has been going on in Home now for years, just with “how to get around” as the question it becomes much more obvious to see. Since Halloween is so close I’d liked to have seen a 150% speed increase to something themed more closely to that, like your avatar dissolving into a shower of bats or a cloud of ominous smoke while moving at full speed.

It looks however, as if Home Devs are going the same way as game devs; rather than take chances in original or unique ideas, they’re just gonna churn out the boring “sure sales” junk that those without imagination will think is cool. Home products have NO EXCUSE for going the same was as CoD, MoH and every other cookie-cutter-shooter has done in the last 10 years. A saturated market is an unhealthy one, and imagination is the key to keeping things fresh.
