This is a great read Burbie and I love it, but this also dribbles into the realm of not just fashion but into what we want to wear in the first place. This is the idea of wearing sci fi and fantasy clothes. It’s all about expression of one’s self. I am fully into that concept, as I have tons of clothes that fit my mood forr every given day. I love the openess of our wardrobes and fashion is a great part of that. P.S. I love that when my avi gains a little weight, i dont have to worry about tight clothes.

Thank you for writing this. What they don’t understand is that I want a choice in my period costumes… one doesn’t cut it. If I wanted to hold a French Chateau ball in 1700s wear- everyone would be wearing exactly the same thing- or close to it. What would be really great is a package of period costumes from each period. Like when you buy a book of paper dolls from a period. The doll gets several outfits that relate to a single time period.

I loved what you had to say about the long skirts. You have no idea how long I searched for a dress that looked similar to the one Rita Hayworth wore in Gilda. Terrifically hard- and the the thing you said about the necklace and the hands is right on. Then I had to choose whether or not My Gilda would wear arm length gloves or a necklace- the pearls she throws to the crowd.

You see its nice to be able to dress like a normal person on home but its so much more a virtual thing when we are able to dress in things that we cannot wear in reality :)

For example I love the tuxedo t-shirt, and I have never owned one in non-Home life mainly because I can’t find a place that sells them, on Home it’s so easy to shop!
