History:  In 1855, four blockhouses were constructed for protection from northern Indian tribes. In 1857 this blockhouse was moved to the site of the Davis Donation Claim thereby earning the name Davis Blockhouse. It was restored to its present condition in 1930 by the Ladies of the Round Table in honor of pioneer mothers.

Description: Blockhouse. Log structure set on concrete foundation; rectangle (12’ x 15’); 1-story; horizontal-shaped logs.
