History: This house was built for Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Grasser. Local builder Otto VanDyk, was Mrs. Grasser’s Uncle. Her mother helped design the house. Originally it was only 3 bays wide, and in 1940 the Grasser’s built an addition on the west side, and added a shed roof dormer on the east and west façade.

Description: 1930’s Vernacular Residence with Queen Anne elements. Wood frame set on post and block foundation. 1 1/2 stories; clapboard siding with wood shingles above on gable ends; Exterior end chimney on west façade. Exterior features include 1/1 double-hung sash, large single pane fixed sash; multi-pane siding sash, all with plain surrounds; sunburst motif above arched entryway supported by pain posts on north façade.
