History: Local contractor, Ralph Ward, built this house in 1938. The Clarks lived in the house for 60 years. The only exterior change to the structure has been the addition of a patio to the west. The exterior stone chimney was constructed by a local stone mason, of rocks picked up on Whidbey Island .

Description: 1930’s Vernacular Residence. Wood frame set on post and block foundation; T-shape; 4 bays wide; 1-story; clapboard siding; asphalt-shingled hip roof; battered, exterior stone chimney on east façade. Exterior features include 3 and 4-pane fixed sash with plain surrounds; stonework landing to front entrance; shed-roofed porch with exposed rafter ends on west façade leading to patio; hinged, double garage doors with 2-pane windows.
