History: Chris Solid built this structure c. 1906. He farmed the surrounding area for many years and lived in the house until the 1940’s. Mrs. Alsobrook had the building converted into a duplex in the late 1940’s. It has now been reconverted into a single family residence and a new foundation was added in 1983. The outside appearance remains essentially intact, particularly the north façade.

Description: Vernacular Residence. Wood frame set on concrete foundation; rectangle; 3 bays wide; 1 ½-stories; shiplap siding; wood-shingled gable roof with intersecting gable roof section on north façade; 2 interior chimneys.
