History: This house was built c. 1916 by Otto VanDyk, a craftsman/builder from Oak Harbor for C. C. Cushen, a Coupeville businessman. The house was later owned by Lewis Matthews and purchased in 1941 by Michael Criscola. In 1968, a small addition was built on the south façade. The house was purchased by the Wienringa’s in 1976 and converted to a Bed and Breakfast Inn.
Description: Bungalow. Wood frame set on concrete foundation; rectangle with small gable-roofed addition on south façade; 5 bays wide; 1-story; clapboard siding with wood shingles in gable ends; wood-shingled gable roof. Exterior features include 6/1 double-hung sash and bulti-pane/1 fixed sash with plain surrounds; 1-story, slightly extended bay on west façade; extended gable ends with exposed purlins; extended eaves with exposed rafter ends; pedimented porch on north façade with paneled boxed posts.
