History: The Coates brothers built this structure for James Gillespie in 1891. The structure was originally located on Main Street at the site of the Courthouse Annex. The structure was purchased by Mike Canty and then moved to Main St. and 7th.

Description: Vernacular Residence with Italianate elements. Wood frame set on concrete foundation; 3 bays wide; 2-stories; shiplap siding; asphalt-shingled hip roof with extended eaves. Exterior features include 1/1 double-hung sash with molded cornice and plain surrounds; 1-story, 3-sided paneled bay windows with mansard roof, decorative shingles, on north and west facades; 1-story hip roof addition on east façade with stairs leading to raised deck and entrance.
