History: Tom Howell, a local barber, had this house constructed c. 1915. Polly Harpole lived in the house in the early 1930’s prior to establishing her maternity home on Haller Street. There have been very few changes to the exterior of the structure.
Description: Bungalow. Wood frame set on post and block foundation; 1-story hip roof addition on east facade; 3 bays wide; 1-story; clapboard siding; asphalt-shingled gable roof with extended eaves; off-set, interior chimney on north façade. Exterior features include 1/1 double-hung sash with molded surrounds; knee braces; exposed rafter ends; hip roof porch with posts across west façade.
