History: Ben Lamphere constructed this house in 1917 for Ed Clark. He resided in the house for many years. In the 1960’s, Mrs. Barbara Slough purchased the house. The Bishop’s moved into the house in 1978. The building was in poor condition at that time; a concrete foundation was constructed and the building was restored.
Description: Vernacular Residence. Wood frame set on concrete foundation; rectangle with 1-story gable roof addition on east façade; 3 bays wide; 1-story; clapboard siding with board and batten siding on addition; wood-shingled gable roof; off-center entrance on west façade; off-center, interior corbelled chimney. Exterior features include 1/1 double-hung sash with plain surrounds; extended eaves with exposed rafter ends; small gable roof porch supported by square posts and plain failing on west façade.
