History: John Alexander Jr. built this house 1870 and sold it to Joseph Barstow Libbey in 1871. The structure originally had a gothic-style barge board and finials on the gable ends and decorative brackets on the porch.

Description: Vernacular gothic residence. Wood frame set on post and block/stone foundation. L-shape (26’ x 30’) with 1-story gable roof addition on west façade; 3 bays wide; one and a half stories.
