History: This house was constructed for John and Jane Kineth by H.B. Lovejoy in 1887. The Kineth’s had farmed a Donation Claim near Snakelum Point but chose to have a house built in Coupeville for retirement. During the 1920-30’s the house had several owners and was used as a summer home for a time.

Description: Italianate Residence. Wood frame set on post and block/concrete foundation; T-shape with 1-story, hip roof addition on west façade; 2-stories; shiplap siding; asphalt-shingled hip roof; corbelled, off-set interior chimney. Exterior features include 2/2 double-hung sash with molded cornice and plain surrounds; 2-story bay window on east façade with 1/1 double-hung sash, colonettes and panels.
