History: Old Art Black owned this property and lived in a “bachelor cabin” located in the orchard. After he passed away in the 1930’s, Dr. Bishop bought the property (c. W.W. II). Bishop’s children inherited the place and sold to the Jefferds.
Description: Vernacular Barn. Wood frame set on post and block foundation; shiplap siding; metal covered gambrel roof with hay hood. Exterior features include 4-pane hinged sash with plain surrounds; extended eaves with exposed rafter ends; corner boards.
