History:  In 1905, the Dorcas Society was formed to raise funds to build a community hall at San de Fuca. This hall was constructed in 1906 with volunteer labor.  The Hall served as a site for dances, plays, and community gatherings for many years.  An itinerant painter designed and painted a backdrop for the stage.  The kitchen was added during the 1930’s and an enclosed front porch constructed on the west façade.  The stairs to the second story stage entrance have been removed.  Since 1948, the Community Chapel has used the building for church services.

Description:  False Front Commercial Building.  Wood frame set on post and block foundation;  rectangle (22’ x 56’ )  with 1-story gable roof addition on southeast corner; 3 bays wide; 1-story.
