History:  The original residence on this site consisted of a simple, shack-like structure built in 1916, and owned by a bachelor.  The large barn was contemporary with the shack.  The property was sold to Fred and Grace Neinhuis in the late 1920’s.  They moved the present residence in from NAS Whidbey.  In the late 1930’s they added onto the front and back of the house, added the front porch, and then enclosed it.

Description:  Late Bungalow.  Wood frame set on post and block foundation; rectangle (24’ x 52’) with shed roof addition on east façade;  3 bays wide;  1 ½-stories.
