CamDoc Scanner

CamDoc Scanner is a document scanning app that lets users scan documents, photos, ID cards, bills, and receipts, save them as PDF or image files, and extract text using OCR.
We designed CamDoc Scanner to work locally on your device. We do not operate cloud storage for your scanned documents.
Information We Collect
CamDoc Scanner does not require users to create an account and does not directly collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or login information.
The app may process the following information on your device:
- Scanned documents and images selected or captured by you.
- Text extracted from scanned documents using OCR.
- Files saved by you, such as PDF, image, and text files.
- Basic app settings, such as default save format, image quality, and OCR language.
How Your Files Are Stored
Scanned files and extracted text are saved locally on your device, usually inside: Documents/CamDoc Scanner.
CamDoc Scanner does not upload your scanned documents or extracted text to our own servers. If you choose to share a file or text using another app, that sharing action is controlled by you and by the app you choose.
Camera and File Access
CamDoc Scanner uses your device camera or selected images only to scan and process documents. Camera and file access are used to provide scanning, preview, saving, OCR, and sharing features.
OCR and Document Scanning
CamDoc Scanner uses Google ML Kit and Google Play services features for document scanning and text recognition. OCR processing may require Google Play services to download or use language models on your device.

Advertising
CamDoc Scanner displays ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain information, such as device identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions, and diagnostic information, to provide, limit, measure, and improve ads.

Data Sharing
We do not sell your scanned documents or extracted text. Files are shared only when you choose to use the app's share feature and select another app or service.
Data Retention and Deletion
Files saved by CamDoc Scanner remain on your device until you delete them. You can delete saved files using your device file manager or any supported file-management app. You can also uninstall CamDoc Scanner to remove app-specific data stored by the app.
Children's Privacy
CamDoc Scanner is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use standard Android platform features to store and share files. However, no app or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should avoid scanning or sharing sensitive documents with apps or services you do not trust.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a new effective date.
