If this has ever happened to you, I would like to help you cope with this and not let their comments to wreck your days. Studies show that it takes 21 days for a habit to “stick” and become part of your daily lifestyle.  I am creating a gratitude journal dedicated to ourselves. Start a journal by writing down your 100-word+ journal entries (daily random thoughts) each day for 21 days.
I am so excited to hear about this new project – a topic that really deserves your insightful attention. I LOVE the connection you made to having to put your own oxygen mask on first and how that applies to life. I believe that you can’t help others in the most effective manner if you aren’t helping yourself first.
Prior to this trip, I’d made other people the focus of my relationships, without first taking the time to nurture and to love myself.

Putting on my oxygen mask has been the key to being able to help others :) Its so true it can affect every facet of our lives.
Incorporating these negative comments into your daily thought patterns can impact your behaviour. While I would always go out of my way to help others and to let them know how great they were, I would rarely do this for myself.
For the next 21 days, I’m encouraging you to write 100 words of kindness (at least) to yourself each day.
I was recently reading a book that mentioned the consequences of negative self-talk on your career development.
We were talking about how we both need to be kinder to ourselves and thought of brainstorming and writing down something positive about ourselves every day… And then I read about your November project!!! This is key to empowering people to understand how it’s necessary to pay attention to ourselves to be the best we can be for others.

I truly believe if you change your thoughts, you can change your life.  If you think you can’t do something, you probably won’t even try to do it.
When you look back you can see all the things you have done and how much of a star you are! It discussed how this type of talk can defeat you before you even step into a meeting, or on a playing field, etc., because you allow yourself to believe the inner critic, with its often mean-spirited comments, instead of believing and focusing on all that you have to offer. This is an exemplary post about the importance of doing so in order to see more beautiful in ourselves and others.
