Enzo ferrari books, get off your assets, self esteem coopersmith self-esteem inventory - Test Out

The diamond studded horse is quite beautiful but I find the silver horse on the cover of the Enzo to be just as appealing.
Vintage August 17 1988 issue of the Italian newspaper "La Gazetta dello Sport" with the news of Enzo Ferrari passing away quietly on the front page. This vintage issue dedicates 9 pages to the life & times of Enzo after he passed away 3 days earlier. Apart from the, obvious, Ferrari interest it is also a wonderful time-document as the front page pays attention to the battle between Ben Johnson and Carl Lewis on the (athletic) track and the upcoming soccer match between PSV Eindhoven and AC Milan with such stars as Ronald Koeman and Ruud Gullit (still with dreads at that time!). Being born in 1898, Enzo took up an interest in cars at a very early age and after the death of both his father and his brother had to provide for himself and his widowed mother. Sivocci got Enzo a job at CMN as a test driver and it was here that Enzo ventured into his first automobile race, the Parma Poggio di Bercetta hillclimb on October 5th, 1919 where he came in 4th. In 1920 Enzo would switch to Alfa Romeo and Sivocci followed suit and was hired to participate in the Alfa Corse team.
A FANTASTIC period piece, that is exceptionally well suited for framing, from the early days of Enzo's career as a racing driver! This vintage photo was taken on April 1925 at the Targa Florio, Sicily, Italy and shows a young Enzo Ferrari posing with Giulia Masetti in his Delage 2LCV. There are few images known of Masetti but this particular image is a famous one, together with Enzo, but Enzo is often cropped away to leave the image of Masetti only (see Wikipedia).
This is a vintage 1952 Champion Spark Plugs advertisement, showing a proud and youthful Enzo Ferrari next to the Ferrari 500 Formula 1 car with which Alberto Ascari had just won the 1952 Grand Prix at the Nurburgring.
Here we have a 1961 copy of the Italian book "L'automobile, Storia illustrata dalle origini ad oggi di Gianni Marin e Andrea Mattei". This book, issued in 1961 by Schwarz editore in Milano, Italia told the story of many car makes, illustrated by countless pictures.

In 1962, Enzo signed page 212 of this book, right next to a photo of him racing an Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 in the 1920's.
The book comes with a page from a notepad that says in French (we acquired this from the estate of a famous French Ferrari personality) that page 212 was signed by Enzo Ferrari in Maranello at the famous restaurant Cavallino, across the street from the Ferrari factory.
This is an official Ferrari factory issued postcard of John Surtees that has been signed by "The Drake", Enzo Ferrari, himself on May 24, 1965.
One of the so called "Enzo Ferrari Authored presentation books".These books were authored by Enzo Ferrari and were never for sale to the general public but were usually given to patrons, potential patrons, and visitors to the Ferrari factory.
As mentioned, this is a limited edition, destined only for Ferrari "internal use" and never available to the general public. It is a of course a vintage book that is 40+ years old and we rate the condition at 8 out of 10 with some light wear and tear to the cover, a slight knock to one corner (as visible in the pictures) and a small tape repair to page 250. This official Ferrari factory issued postcard of F1 ace Carlos Reutemann has been signed by "The Drake", Enzo Ferrari, himself on January 27, 1977.
The typed text on the back refers to the kind telex that Enzo received and he send his regards. Only 1 available of course as every autographed item is unique and we provide a Certificate of Authenticity with it which guarantees that this is a genuine Enzo Ferrari signature. This official Ferrari factory issued postcard of F1 ace Gilles Villeneuve has been signed by "The Drake", Enzo Ferrari, himself in February 1978. In the typed text on the back, Enzo expresses his gratitude for the received birthday wishes and sends his regards in return. The rear shows the above mentioned text, the Scuderia Ferrari logo and sponsors Agip, Magneti Marelli and Michelin. As mentioned, this was a limited edition of 1.000 pcs, destined only for Ferrari "internal use" and never available to the general public.

In this case, the mentioned Antonio is Antonio de Giusti from who's collection this book came. De Giusti is famous for designing much of the brochure artwork for Ferrari in the 1950s and early 1960s and was the only artist who, in Enzo Ferrari's eyes, was worthy of adorning the walls of Enzo's office at the Ferrari factory. This is a of course a vintage book and we rate the condition at 8 out of 10 with the cover being a little grubby.
The Schedoni leather invitation card (16.5x23cm) to the centennial celebrations of the birth of Enzo Ferrari held on 18th February 1998 in Modena.
Official Ferrari Enzo 29x29cm boxed set of pictures of the Ferrari Enzo, the twelve page book "A car's name, a man's name" and CD rom produced for the media. Sivocci and Enzo, both driving a modified "street" Alfa Romeo ES came home 4th and 5th overall. Produced in very limited quantities, this rare embossed leather card, complete with envelope, has been signed by the 1998 Ferrari drivers Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine. An interesting insight into the making of the first film allowed by Piero Ferrari of his fathers life.
This book was not for commercial sale and contains an introductory text by Piero Ferrari on the Carlo Carlei directed film with fantastic pictures from Philippe Antonello. That edition is the Enzo edition bedazzled with a big Prancing Horse and 30 diamonds on the cover.
4,100 examples will be priced at $4,100 a piece. In addition to gimmicky signatures and ridiculous prices, the Ferrari opus brings 852 pages, 2,000 pictures and 200,000 words of Ferrari history.
