Days of Hands on Help and Laser-Focused Action Taking!
2-Week Task-Oriented
Challenge Where We Each Launch a 10K Short Story on Amazon Kindle
Using a Pre-Made Fiction Plot of Your Choice
*Note:
This Is NOT a "How to Write" Challenge!

This challenge was
one of the most demanded challenges I've hosted to date. Perhaps
it's because inside the hearts and minds of many of us, we feel
like we have the ability to be a great storyteller.
And we've done a
full-scale Kindle challenge, but some people on my list were too
intimidated by a novel-from-scratch approach.
So I decided it'd be
great to cater to these people (and allow everyone the chance to
try something new), if we worked on the concept of downloading a
pre-made plot.
Important
Details About This Challenge:
Before you sign
up, make sure it's right for you.
The Challenge will
take place August 14th-27th - However, you can sign up
ANY time and take the challenge - even if it's January or 2017
or beyond - you don't have to be on the exact schedule of
the original challenge.
You can lurk or
share your progress and eventual book link. You can go at your
own pace. If my daily tasks and lessons are faster than you can
go (or you plan on stretching yours out to a 40k novel), then
take your time!
I will not be
giving people a plot. I will show you how I find a plot to buy
in a genre I want to work in. I'll give you resources to go find
some, plus a general freebie method you could use as well.
There will be a
daily lesson and from days 3-12, we will be writing 1,000 words
each day. Now if you need to only write 500 words a day, then
just stretch it out. The lessons aren't going anywhere - just
log in when you're ready to move on!
The types of
things I'll teach won't be "how to write good
dialogue" or "describing setting." These are
task-oriented challenged, which means I'll be teaching things
like writing your blurb, finding commonalities in your genre,
back-matter and so on.
You'll want to set
up your own Kindle publishing account - I won't be going through
the account stages, but I WILL cover the publishing process and
options you'll choose for that.
I'll share with
you how I'm working with my own pre-made plot (I haven't bought
it yet, so I'll be starting from scratch like you). The lessons
are mapped out but not created yet. In other words, I know what
types of things I want to share, but I want to do it right along
WITH you.
#5 - Do You
Need to Buy Anything Else?
There's no fancy
software to buy. And you can do a lot of this yourself. So it's
optional. I'll be covering:
-
Buying a
pre-made plot or coming up with one based on other things
-
Hiring an editor
or editing it yourself
-
Outsourcing the
Kindle cover or taking the DIY route
-
Paying for cheap
to higher priced ads versus doing it yourself
As you can see, each
option DOES have a Do-It-Yourself route. So you have choices you
can make.
By the time we're
finished, you should have your first short story published on
Amazon Kindle!
#6 - Where will
the challenge take place?
Right on my blog. I
want it laser focused, and this is a place where you can log in,
go through the lesson of the day, read comments and participate,
and log off so you're taking action. I do not want people stuck
floundering on Facebook in a group where we ALL know, a lot of
time wasting happens.
You should be
focused on THAT day's lesson and then logging out to get your task
done. (Learned this from my mentor and it's helped me achieve 6
figures, by the way).
#7 - Why take the
challenge?
This is a bite-sized
fiction challenge. It's best for people who want to see what it's
like working with pre-made plots, or those who have never
published before and are nervous about the entire process.
I got my start in
the world of Kindle Fiction using a short story and it helped me
gain the courage and fans to create a 25,000-word creation after
that and full length novels from then on! And with just 2 shorter
stories and 2 books, I started earning enough to pay my mortgage -
and it grows the more you continue publishing!
What Do

get out of reading these comments is that my primary goal in
