The Order Multiple is the smallest quantity used to order parts. Typically the order multiple is equal to the modular container or unit load quantity.  The order multiple is typically at the layer level.

 

The order multiple is determined for every part through a mutual agreement between supplier and customer, an approved PFEP document. Packaging, shipping costs, material requirement demand, carrying costs, storage space limitations all factor into determining the appropriate order multiple. 

The system will calculate the recommended order multiple based on the values you have entered for the previously defined steps.   This order multiple may be overridden if necessary.
