Displayed on the packaging components section of the Product Data Sheet is the system calculated number of returnable containers needed to meet the peak daily demand for this part using the number of container days specified.  More containers can be authorized to use as safety stock.

The transport loop calculator will calculate total container days using the following:

• Supplier Buffer - Number of container days required at supplier location
• Plant Delivery per Week - frequency of delivery from supplier to plant based on imported route information 
• Plant Days of Supply - Number of container days required at consuming plant location
• Plant Return Frequency per Week- Frequency of delivery from plant to supplier location (# of working days per week/frequency)
• Inbound Transit Time - Number of days for inbound shipment from supplier to consuming plant (includes cross dock and transit time)
• Outbound Transit Time - Number of days for oubound RVP shipment from consuming plant to supplier ( includes cross dock and transit time)
• Container Adjustment Days - Manual adjustment factor in days to calculated container loop value.
