Internal packaging used to transport a part to the point of use can be defined using the Point of Use details session.  Quantity per container is a key requirement to calculating Kanban requirements.

To define the internal packaging being used to transport the part to the point of use:

1. Using the Advanced menu, click Item Planning > POU Details.
2. Click the magnifying glass to access the details of the part being transported to a particular POU.

 

3. Using the Base Container drop down selection menu, choose the packaging type that will be used to transport the part to the point of use.
4. Using the Quantity per Base Container field, define the number of parts that will be transported within the internal package type to the point of use.
